Dans cette nouvelle proposition, l'efficacité des outils lithiques joue un rôle important dans la technologie ancienne et sa variabilité. Dans cette conception, nous réduisons l'importance que donnait l'analyse technique traditionnelle à la morphologie des outils. Ces hypothèses sont testées par l'étude des ensembles fossiles et par l'expérimentation. Nous associons dans ce travail les méthodes d'analyse fonctionnelle et d'analyse technologique. We try in this paper a new way for the interpretation of the variability in the chaînes opératoires. In this new proposition the effectiveness of the lithic tools assume an important role in the ancient technology and its variability. As a result of this concept we reduce the importance of the tool morphology in the traditional technical analysis. These hypotheses are tested by means of the study of fossil complexes and experimentation. We combine in this work the methods of functional and technological analyses.
