http://popups.lib.uliege.be/3041-5527/index.php?id=3374 The analysis of the written evidence allowed the author to demonstrate that the deserted village of Marsolle (prov. of Luxemburg) had an only fairly brief existence, from 1537 to ca. 1572. Its history is closely linked to that of the Marsolle blast-furnace, which was the subject of archaeological investigations in 1984 and 1985. A series of cuttings made it possible to study the construction of a large part of this blast-furnace. L’étude des sources écrites a démontré que le village disparu de Marsolle (prov. de Luxembourg) n’a connu qu’une existence assez courte, de 1537 à 1572 environ. Son histoire est liée à celle du haut fourneau de Marsolle, qui fut l’objet d’interventions archéologiques en 1984 et 1985. Une série de sondages ont permis l’étude de la construction d’une grande partie du haut fourneau.
