Des vestiges d'art paléolithique, sous toutes ses formes (pièces insolites, objets décorés, éléments de parure, art sur blocs et art pariétal), ont été découverts, sauf exceptions, dans les niveaux archéologiques au cours des fouilles. Ils sont donc bien datés et bien localisés dans les structures d'habitat. The site of Abri Pataud is a reference deposit for the beginning of the Upper Palaeolithic. Vestiges of Palaeolithic art, in all its forms (unusual forms, decorated objects, ornamentation elements, art on blacks and parietal art), have been discovered, with some exceptions, in the archaeological levels during excavation.
