https://popups.lib.uliege.be/2984-0317/index.php?id=1209 Le Laboratoire d'Éthologie des Poissons, spécialisé dans l'étude du comportement, présente un intérêt qui est principalement lié à la proximité de l'Aquarium public de l'Institut de Zoologie de l'Université de Liège et des installations dont il bénéficie. Grâce à un subside octroyé par le FNRS et la Loterie Nationale, les installations ont été récemment modernisées afin de poursuivre, de diversifier et d'amplifier les recherches sur le comportement des poissons, qu'elles soient fondamentales ou appliquées à la gestion des rivières et à l'aquaculture. Cet article décrit les nouvelles infrastructures et rappelle les thèmes de recherche développés au laboratoire. This paper presents the new equipments and the main research topics of the Laboratory of Fish Ethology of the Zoological Institute at the University of Liège. This Laboratory was born in the sixties ; it is mainly devoted to behavioural studies on freshwater fish species. Its main interest for promoting research as well as teaching relies on its vicinity with the public Aquarium of Liège and on the fact that it is connected with the machinery of the latter. Recently the National Fund for Scientific Research has supported financially new equipements and thus has promoted fundamental research on fish behaviour involving applications in River management and in aquaculture.
