The Doubling Theory Could Explain the Homeopathy

The homeopathy, proposed by Samuel Hahnemann in 1796, is based on three points : The "law of similarity" (if an active substance causes an illness, the same diluted substance can cure the same illness). The individualizing of the sick person and of his remedy. The choice of the dilution coming from the clinical researches. Many authors (1986, 1987, Cazin, Garborit, Chaoui, Boiron, Belon, Chemrault, Papapanayotou, 1988, Del Giudice, Preparata, Vitellio ; 1996, 1999, 2000, Conte, Berliocchi, Lasne, Vernot; ...) try to explain the problem of the dilution into the water. But any homeopathic model give us a complete clinical, chemical and physical explanation. However, the new idea of temporal openings of the Doubling Theory (1998, 1999, Garnier-Malet) brings a new explanation of principle of dilution.

Information, Bifurcation and Entropy in the Universal Rewrite System

The universal rewrite system, which has previously been applied especially to the generation of the number system and to nilpotent quantum mechanics, not only provides a generalised description for all natural processes but also creates a direct measure of entropy increase and of information transfer, which is especially significant for systems on the edge of chaos. Entropy and information can be shown to have a direct connection with the concept of the generation of the number field at a very fundamental level.

Biological Evolution Anticipates the Social Development towards Creative Society (In the View of Organized Systems Theory)

Bio-theoretical analysis of the evolution of living systems on the basis of organized systems theory suggests that social development of the human beings is a succession towards the increasing technological creativity. The community of primates evolves from a creative individual through the creative social layer (creative class) towards the creative society. The creative class is a socioeconomic layer that is the key driving force for the economic development of post-industrial regions. The organized systems theory, based on the principle of the informational closed-loop coding-decoding control (CL-CDC), suggests that the creative class is only the first step to the new social formation - creative society, the society that specializes to generate information. The economic growth is only the production of resources for the generation of social information. Information could be understood as a phenomenon, which is completely different from matter and energy, since informational control determines the main property of the organized systems that is the ability to reduce entropy. The organized systems are immersed in the space of problems, which need to be solved, and information is a means to solve the problems. It controls the behavior of the organized systems. Both the living system and the social system could be understood as organized problem-solving systems. The living cell is the primary and the simplest organized system on the Earth based on genetic information, and genotype-phenotype duality. The essence of the evolution of the human society is the evolution of the brain-based information technology. The concept of CL-CDC as an approach to life and society on the basis of evolution of information technologies combines and extends the concepts of nomogenesis (Berg, 1922), noogenesis (Teilhard de Chardin, 1955), Lamarckian in the human evolution (Yeas, 1993), holistic Darwinism (Coming, 2005), technological singularity (Kurzweil, 2005), creative class (Florida, 2002-2008) and converting NBIC(Nano-Bio-lnfo-Cogno) technologies. Biological evolution enables us to anticipate social evolution towards creative society.

Development of Anticipatory Control in Bio-Systems: Five Levels of Closed-Loop Coding-Decoding in the Visual Analyzers

Evolutionary analysis of functional organization of nerve systems and of behavior shows five informational control levels (reflexic L.; multireflexic coordination L.; regulative L.; perceptronic analyzing L.; Analysis-by-Synthesis L .) that represent specific procedures of the closed loop coding-decoding. Maybe weak anticipative prediction is realized at simple reflection and multireflexic coordination structures, incursive anticipative feedback control - at regulation and simple analyzers structures, and strong anticipation - at neocortex structures that work by Analysis-by-Synthesis. The strong anticipation maybe is used only in brains of mammals and birds that are able to create models of future activities that means ability to think. Higher mammals especially apes and humans have sensory screens that enhance mental imaging in Area Striata zone.

Generalized Formula of Physical Channel Capacities

We consider a process of information transmission in the environment described by the canonical distribution of noise, considered as the transmission channel in the Information Theory. We derive the generalized form of the noisy entropy of this environment. Then, the generalized information capacity formula is derived for the geometric distribution of the output variable under the condition of greater or equal than the minimal value of the mathematical expectation of the input variable. We also state the hypotheses the capacity, when this input parameter is less or equal than that minimal (critical, extreme) value, is just defined by the lower capacity estimation which is the capacity for the limit distribution with this minimal input parameter. This paper generalizes the paper (Hejna & Vajda, 1999) presented on CASYS'98.

Linguistic Modelling of Energetic and Informatic Situations

The current state of approaches to situations with natural, technical and living components leading to changes in physical and mental properties, is discussed. Energy, artefacts and information as products are instrumental in these changes of which the notion of information is developed in more detail. The method of linguistic modelling as a symbolism to represent dynamic situations, is introduced.

Mesophysical Anticipatory Cell Behavior - Enroute to Quantum and Classical Nanobiology

Recent experiments showed that genomes in their evolutionary changes follow real molecular strategies leading to biological evolution through mutations that are not small, rare and random as is taught by Darwinian theory. This mesoscopic anticipatory behavior is here interpreted as evolutionary classical/quantum chaos mesoscopic information processing and through the coupling of electronic and mechanical degrees of freedom giving rise to the syntax <=> semantics <=> pragmatics closed loop as a dissipative evolutionary chain capable of overcoming logic self-reference paradoxes just through dissipation, and embodying the notion of biological information as inseparable from biological intelligence. A Quantum Field Theory of bio-mesoscopic subcellular structures as "extended objects" is proposed, so as to link micro- and mesophysical subcellular processes to the vacuum structure and fluctuations.

Quantum Millennium, Quantum Universe, Quantum Biosphere, Quantum Man - or What Physicists can teach Biologists, and Biology, Physics

It is shown in line with:- a) the likely implications of Deutsch's discovery of the universal quantum theory of computation, b) cited new evidence in quantum mechanics, and c) the quantum mechanical correspondence principle, that measurement, the basis of all experimental science and experience, as defined in John von Neumann's Mathematical Foundations of Quantum Mechanics:- 1) incorporates signal theory into quantum physics, 2) defining two inseparable kinds of signal, carried on "bits" and "waves" comprising symbolic and holographic information respectively, so as to turn quantum mechanics into a pattern recognition theory capable of explaining the undue effectiveness of mathematics in physics, so that without need of extension, it provides the likely basis of a quantum holographic adaptive cosmology including the basis of the information processing morphology and dynamics by which living systems might work. That is to say, it defines the basis not just for quantum cosmology, but for quantum biology, quantum neuroscience, quantum medicine, etc, within which are included the currently established classical understandings.

View on Organized System

The concept of an organized system and the historical review of the problem are presented. The concept explains biological phenomena and cybernetics systems in a point of view of functional organization. Cybernetics and information theory consider physical and chemical transformations of energy and matter in organized systems only as signals and a means for realization of some purposive informational control programs. Life (or Artificial Life) is considered to be an adaptive system that stores information. The more such a biological (or artificial) system (species) is effective in storing and using information, the fitter the programs are. Evolution of systems from non-organized and dissipative transformations through elementary organized-regulators, programmed controllers, servo-controllers up to anticipatory systems is discussed. The elementary functional components of a biological cell, a multicellular organism, and an animal are analysed as organized system

The Non-Decreasing Character of Complexity : A Biological Approach

The overall information processing capacity of an organism is proposed as a conceptual criterion for its complexity. The apparent tendency of complexity increase during the course of evolution is accounted for in terms of positive feedback mechanisms. Furthermore, the different modes of evolution of biological complexity are identified as: The ongoing appearance of more complex species in case of abundance of resources, pausing of the complexity increase when the limits of the resources are reached in a relatively isolated environment, and the extinction of some of the complex species due to lack of sufficient resources. All arguments concerning the definition of complexity and its non-decreasing character are based on concepts like information processing, maintenance of organisation and the related energy expenditures. As a result of these arguments it is concluded that complex adaptations have a teleonomic nature.
