Social models such as the benefactor/beneficiary model of MUlti-agent Distributed Storage Middleware can be successfully applied to many areas as a means of automating a wide range of resource distribution challenges both in traditional and future distributed systems. An environment populated with redundant components can benefit from a charitable entity, allowing possibly wasted resources to be efficiently distributed to the network on a voluntary basis.
