Anticipatory Social Media for Technical Communication

Attractive quality is an emergent and increasingly important property of all the technical products, devices, and services we are using in our daily lives. Timely and relevant technical information disseminated through an effective technical communication system is a crucial important component in building such quality. Parallel to that development, so called social media have lately become an integrated part of many peoples' e-lives. A relatively new phenomenon is that social media are also applied for technical communication. It is concluded that business firms that are successful in mastering social media for technical communication may gain considerable competitive advantages. An anticipatory approach will help in reaching that goal.

Self-Reference, the Moebius and Klein Bottle Surfaces, Multivalued Logic and Cognition

We present a theory that surmounts the Cartesian Cut through self-reference, torsion geometry, multivalued logic, paradox, cybernetics, time-waves, quantum physics, the Moebius and Klein bottle surfaces, philosophy and semiotics. We introduce a Time Operator, and discuss its role in self-control, chronomes, will and a third-order time derivative. We apply the theory to visual perception and the problem of brain hemisphere integration for stereoscopic vision and its relations to micro and macroscopic non-local entanglement, torsion vortices and anticipation.

The Importance of Anticipation in Kantrs Philosophy

This paper attempts to follow the thread formed by anticipation in Kant's general philosophy, and in particular in his theoretical philosophy, in order to tease out the precise meaning of the notion. Particular attention is given to the finiteness of the subject, the notion of teleology, Kant's peculiar account of pure interest and the way in which these notions are interwoven. This serves to clarify the peculiar status of anticipation as a primarily subjective activity, based on finiteness and subjective engagement. Furthermore, an attempt is made to gain insight in the way a subject capable of anticipation is structured and the way it is related to its own structure.

Appreciating the Anticipation of Citizenship Expertise

Taking notice of Atlan's definition of appreciation of anticipation, it will be argued that the appreciation of anticipation with regard to have-not people takes place exactly at the interface of the local systemic dimensions of citizenship expertise, i.e. expertise that contributes to the dynamical development of becoming a citizen, and the ideal environment of citizenship expertise, which amounts to the adherence to a viewpoint in which the notion of citizenship has to remain encapsulated by the boundaries of rather static - juridical, political, economical and social - formalities and rules, these dynamical citizenship experts are confronted with. In order to make this interface intelligible, the conditions under which community ideals (policy) and group ideals (civility) become possible, need to be revealed from an engaged position that allows for questioning and exploring what it means to be a citizenship expert.

A Computational Study of Reconstruction (from Partial Data) and Anticipation Capabilities of an Associative Neural Net with Large Stored Data-Base

I simulated a large Hopfield neural net which had the signum instead of sigmoid activation function so that it could be naturally physically implemented, e.g. in spin systems. It has been used in computational simulations in order to analyze the following capabilities of processing very large and complex data sets (e.g., protein-structure data-bases): 1. completion of patterns; 2. recognition of patterns; 3. prediction of unknown parameters; 4. a.nticipation. While for tasks 1-3 we use a memory-ba,se of previouslylearned examples using "a,ssociations", ta.sk 4 is equivalent to case 3 re-interpreted for temporal (or timeseries) prediction, i.e. prediction of unknown future parameter-values (instead of unknown present ones). For tasks 3 and 4 it is concluded that a generalization of the model used in simulation, like phase-Hebb processing or quantum-like information dynamics, if more promising. Data-structure conditions for success of tasks l-4 are discussed in a complex "real-life" example.

The Doubling Theory Could Explain the Homeopathy

The homeopathy, proposed by Samuel Hahnemann in 1796, is based on three points : The "law of similarity" (if an active substance causes an illness, the same diluted substance can cure the same illness). The individualizing of the sick person and of his remedy. The choice of the dilution coming from the clinical researches. Many authors (1986, 1987, Cazin, Garborit, Chaoui, Boiron, Belon, Chemrault, Papapanayotou, 1988, Del Giudice, Preparata, Vitellio ; 1996, 1999, 2000, Conte, Berliocchi, Lasne, Vernot; ...) try to explain the problem of the dilution into the water. But any homeopathic model give us a complete clinical, chemical and physical explanation. However, the new idea of temporal openings of the Doubling Theory (1998, 1999, Garnier-Malet) brings a new explanation of principle of dilution.

Sustainable Development as Weak and Strong Anticipation Problem

The general questions of sustainable development: the conception, examples and limitations of implementation are considered. General principles for formalization of notion of sustainable development are discussed that may provide the possibility of introduction of strict definitions of sustainable development. General problem of sustainable development is considered from the point of views of weak and strong anticipatory systems. Some models are considered for study of sustainable development. Relation stability\transformation had been investigated. The consideration of mental aspects comes into question at introduction of sustainable development as one of main problems of transformations.

Frequency and Anticipation in Bio-Systems

Bio-systems need a computing function at many levels of biological activity. The problem is how does it work? It is proposed that frequency is the language of bio- computing activity and that these frequencies are coherent to the theoretical limit. Frequency has a duality with chemical structure and as an expression of energy level change it can provide a control function. All bio-systems are water based and can use the coherent properties of water to implement basic arithmetic operations and basic reversible logic gates. Strong anticipation is imbedded chemically in nucleotides, chemicals and their frequency signatures and water memory. Weak anticipation derives from a need for future chemicals and activities predicted from within a self-model.

Theory of Incursive Synchronization and Application to the Anticipation of a Chaotic Epidemic

This paper deals with a general theory of synchronization of systems coupled by an incursive connection. For systems with a time shift, the slave or driven system anticipates the values of the master or driver system by a future time period giving rise to an anticipatory synchronization. Some extensions show the possibility to enhance the anticipatory synchronization, what we call meta-anticipatory synchronization. An application is shown in the case of an epidemic system represented by a chaotic delayed Pearl-Verhulst map representing the incubation duration of infected susceptibles. A slave model of the infected population is incursively synchronized to the infected population master system, the simulation of which showing that the infected population can be anticipated by a time duration equal to the incubation period.

Synergy and Sympoiesis in the Writing of Joint Papers (Anticipation with/in Imagination)

Synergy can be seen as energy liberation by systems integration, as seen in waves sharing a common 'carrier wave'. This paper studies the synergy in co-authorship, i.e. when authors experience new insights that transcend their individual understanding. Synergy couples four perspectives, each with its own 'language' of description : l) the individual viewpoint, 2) the inter-authors relationship, 3) their inner-inter-action dynamics, and 4) new meaning in the joint context. Synergising is an art. The outcomes are the unpredictable consequences of personal involvement in the process. Process integrity determines the quality of the result. It is maintained by the authors managing their feelings to regulate their input in line with what is felt to be the common intent.
