Fragilisée au début des handicaps acquis où elle est un problème avant que d’être une solution, l’imagination thérapeutique vaut plutôt comme puissance d’altération du quotidien au quotidien. Si les handicapés doivent façonner des manières de vivre à la mesure de leurs singularités qui les fait être considérés comme anormaux, ils le font en modifiant conjointement ce qu’ils sont et leur monde, grâce à la perception des marges, de l’indéterminé et de l’indéterminable. C’est dans ces images que leur imagination, dans sa dimension remédiatrice, prend sa source et travaille. La guérison de l’incurable est ainsi une réalité : au-delà des corps, elle est normativité, c’est-à-dire imagination pragmatique de l’altération de soi et du monde.
