Abstracts
The Author summarizes briefly the most important data about the burials of Early Neolithic and Late Upper Palaeolithic age found at Grotta Continenza (Abruzzo, Italy). The remains of 36 buried individuals and of two incinerated children laid in vases, rituals pits and evidences of some rearrangements of the cave catchment were found in the neolithic levels. The burials of two male adults laying within stone circles were found in the Upper Palaeolithic levels : one of these had been laid face downwards and the skull was not found. Remains of a female burial with a circle of stones and traces of other burials were also found.
